Green Ninja Nominated for Middle School Science Curriculum
Green Ninja is officially on track to be a California Department of Education approved middle school science, curriculum provider! After four years of development, our materials are ready to help teachers satisfy the new science standards and to help students design a more sustainable world.
What’s in it for teachers and students
From easy to use lesson plans to instructional videos that help teachers guide students through Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) experiences, our material makes teaching easier.
Through storytelling, environmental problem solving, and real data and technology, students are able to actually understand and engage with science—while still having fun. This approach is shown to deliver a significant increase in motivation leading to academic success, and ultimately students viewing themselves as an agent for change.
“I saw the confidence level of my students rise as they became more comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.”
— Angela Duke, Teacher at Taylor Elementary
Our roots
Green Ninja is a growing educational community that seeks to create environmental solutions through education. Our team is a collaboration between scientists, educators, and artists, and we share a deep commitment towards creating a healthy and clean planet for everyone. With the goal of inspiring our next generation of science leaders and innovators, our comprehensive science curriculum empowers students to create a cleaner and healthier world.
“Green Ninja curriculum provides the accurate and necessary science behind climate change basics where other curricula fall short or are sugar-coated.”
— Noah Canton, Teacher at Hillcrest Elementary
How to get involved
If giving students the tools they need to design a more sustainable world is up right up your alley, you’ve come to the right place.
We’re piloting our materials in a number of districts right now, and looking for additional school partners. We need help spreading the word about the Green Ninja science curriculum, as most schools in the state will be selecting new science textbooks in the next 6-12 months.
Here are a few ways you can help out:
Share Green Ninja with your favorite teacher.
Encourage your local school district to consider adopting Green Ninja for their middle school science program.
Keep up to date with Green Ninja through Twitter and Facebook.
